Introduction to the goals of AbissoCleanse
AbissoCleanse would like to introduce to you our proven corrosive drywall remediation protocol.
The staff at AbissoCleanse has invested an extensive amount of time researching and developing this protocol.
Our goals for the development of our protocol was to create a scientifically sound and cost effective protocol that at the completion could give confidence back to the homeowners that there home has been TRULY remediated.

We fully stand behind our statements that when we have finished our remediation process your home is truly clean and free of all residual compounds. Because of the extensive and solid scientific background, we have been able to secure a specifically written insurance policy that protects your home if there ever was to be a re occurrence of corrosive gases. This policy stays with the home and is able to be used as a selling feature to prove your home was fixed properly. At this point to the knowledge of the AbissoCleanse staff no other remediation protocols or companies are able to provide this type of guarantee to their customers. Without this type of policy your home would not be protected from the possible re-occurrence of residual gasses.

AbissoCleanse has worked very hard to make our protocol as cost effective as possible. We have been able to accomplish this by utilizing a one of a kind product that is non-toxic and Eco friendly. This product applied correctly is actively drawn to these contaminates and once in contact with them breaks these compounds down to basic elements and harmless salts. Due to the nature and design of our product and protocol our application only takes a single day , and does not require any unnecessary and overly burdensome procedures like tenting the home, heating up the structure, or costly filtration systems to capture the gases.

Our protocol calls for a single day of application three days following that an independent environmental testing company collects core samples of wood and block from the home to be analyzed for any remaining compounds. Once we receive the test results back from the lab we give the all clear to finish putting the home back together, but there is no down time waiting for the results because the day after application other trades can be in the home reinstalling systems like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety.

With the completion of the AbissoCleanse protocol you are then provided the lab test reports showing the home is clean, as well as documentation showing that you have been listed as an additionally insured party to protect your home in the future and give your home added value.

What is Chinese Drywall (Corrosive Drywall)?
The drywall was imported from China during the housing boom, and roughly 550 million pounds are said to be in the country and may be in more than a 100,000 homes. Now there are reports that there are some confirmed cases of American made corrosive drywall.

The signature contaminants imbedded in the corrosive drywall are elemental sulfur (S8), high levels of formaldehyde and strontium sulfide. When these contaminates are exposed to heat , humidity and carbon monoxide , caustic gases are released from the drywall in the form of sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ,), hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S), carbon disulfide, carbonyl sulfide and others. When the sulfur laden air comes in contact with any soft or reactive metals (copper, Silver, brass) an acidic solution formulates that blackens and deteriorates the metals. Once this acidic reaction occurs on the surface of these metals it begins to create micro pits in the surface of the metal which will eventually lead to the failure of the product.

Homeowners have reported problems with air conditioning and other systems that are likely related to the Corrosive drywall. Some spent hundreds - even thousands of dollars - to have air conditioning coils, pipes and wiring repaired. Electronics and appliances with copper components have failed multiple times in these homes, and copper pipes and wiring turned black.

Owners of a home on Montauk Point Crossing -- one of the areas hardest hit by the defective drywall -- initially agreed to let their home builder begin repair work on their home, but ordered the work halted because of worries that some components were not being replaced and that a foul odor remained in the home after the drywall was removed.

The sulfide gases which are released from the Chinese drywall are leaching into the surrounding porous material. The contaminates have penetrated all items of the home.

The first step is to remove all drywall as surgically as possible. The contaminant has been removed, so now what? How do we treat the concrete block and framing? How do we remove all of these remaining sulfide compounds?

The solution is the uniquely formulated protocol that Abisso Cleanse has developed. This protocol utilizes a specialized product that is able to mechanically break down these sulfide compounds to their basic elements and neutralize them. At the same time this product is also able to breakdown any microbial, bacterial, or fungal contamination.

These sulfide compounds need to be eliminated. Our protocol allows us to do just that without creating any volatile organic compounds (V.O.C.).

It is our knowledge that the removal of the contaminated drywall alone does not truly eliminate all pollution. You must also neutralize all cross-contamination in the home.

To ensure that we have been completely effective we use a 3rd party environmental testing company to collect core samples of wood and block from the homes. This gives the homeowner a clearance test certifying that the home is clean.
